Fireworks: Rules & Regulations

Annual reminder. (See city ordinance below)

It’s actually illegal much less a bad idea to ignite fireworks in areas like a cul-de-sac or where they could damage your neighbor’s car or property. You are liable for damage should it occur. The best areas to indulge yourself are in the parks next to the pond. Please be a good neighbor and clean up after yourself after you're done.

Since we get the calls and questions every year, we wanted to help shed some light on the fireworks noise ordinance for the city of Kingsland.

City ordinance -
15-31 Use of Fireworks
(3) On January 1, July 3, July 4, and December 31 of each year after the time of 9:00 p.m. and up to and including the time of 11:59 p.m.; and
(4) On January 1 of each year beginning at the time of 12:00 midnight and up to and including the ending time of 1:00 a.m.
All city ordinances can be located online on the city of Kingsland website or using Municode.
DO NOT SHOOT FIREARMS INTO THE SKY PLEASE ! All that goes up must come down and you can/ will receive serious charges for endangering the lives of the citizens in our community.
